Our speaker for this week is back by popular demand. Laura Wood was our presenter in 2021 on becoming a better boss. This time, she's back with a program on What to Do If You've Been PIP'ed (put on a Performance Improvement Plan). Being put on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) can feel like a slap in the face. If your organization has given you a performance improvement plan, it can be helpful to know how to approach it. The PIP outlines what an employee has to do to improve and when the employee will be re-assessed to see if the PIP goals were met. Laura will show you how to respond to a Performance Improvement Plan in the best way possible for a win-win outcome.
Speaker: Laura Wood is a published author and president/chief HR solutions officer. She is a seasoned HR executive who has passionately worked in the field for more than 30 years. She is the 2022 president for the Louisville Society for Human Resource Management. Before starting her own consulting firm, she had a long career as an HR leader for several organizations including 15 years in healthcare.
