Are we modernizing our governance and business models for a new century? Association leadership must take intentional action to overcome long-term traditions and orthodoxies that avoid moving forward in a remarkably changing world. Time to stop blaming staff, volunteers, and boards for resisting change.

Speaker: Michael Butera

Michael Butera is the founder/CEO of Association ActiVision, a consulting firm specializing in keynotes, board revitalization, strategic facilitation, executive/team coaching, data-infused transformation & developing a future thinking mindset. Michael delivers keynotes centered on thinking long-term and avoid short term decisions that create long-term problems. He served as CEO/ED of 4 Associations, is currently with the County and State NAACP's Executive Committee and chairs their Technology Taskforce. He also chairs the Howard County, Maryland Compensation Review Commission and has served on healthcare, funding commissions, and two gubernatorial transition teams.
