The Absolutes of Accountability

  • Friday, September 29, 2023
  • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Zoom

  • Registration is for members only.

There is little debate about the importance of accountability in the workplace and in our personal lives. It’s a must at all levels of any organization and is the key to building trust with stakeholders. The pursuit of this takes a big slice of humble pie at times and a constant look in the mirror always. This session will highlight opportunities to elevate yourself and those around in focusing on accountability as an area of practice in every aspect of your life.

Speaker: April Tone, MBA, CAE

April has 14 years of association experience. Her current role is Sr. Manager, Technical & Engineering Communities (TEC) Operations at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). She is a board member with the Houston Society of Association Executives (HSAE), on the steering committee for the Black Association Executives (BAE) and contributes to the Diversity Equity & Inclusion team at ASME. April holds a Bachelor of Science in Radio, Television and Film from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University. She has also earned her credential as a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
