In honor of National Mentoring Month, Fridays@4 will host a moderated panel discussion. You've likely experienced a mentor/mentee relationship, whether formal or informal. Join us as panelists share their mentorship programs, successes and lessons learned.

Panelists

Jennifer Alluisi, MA Ed, CAE

Jennifer an Account Executive at Custom Management Group (CMG), an accredited association management company, where she holds different titles for the various associations managed by CMG. Jen engages in a wide variety of work for her associations, including (but not limited to) board and committee management, conference program planning, certification program management, mentoring program management, and management of both in-person and online education. She earned her both her BA and her MA Ed from the College of William and Mary, and began her career as a middle school teacher (though that didn’t last long). When she’s not working, Jen enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and daughter at their home in Virginia’s Blue Ridge mountains.

Benita Stocks

Benita is the Director of Membership & Programs for NAIOP Northern Virginia, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, where she leads membership and events for the organization. She also heads the chapter’s Developing Leaders, a program geared specifically for professionals age 35 and under. Benita’s work focuses on creating member-driven value to increase member involvement. She enjoys what she does and takes pride in helping others succeed!


 


Christopher Young, CAE

Christopher is DECA's chief program officer, and in this role, he devises and leads organizational strategies and growth initiatives, including innovative student and advisor learning programs focused on preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Christopher has collaborated with a variety of educational, association and corporate groups on special projects and has been a featured speaker on association topics. His leadership has also netted numerous accolades for DECA Inc., including five ASAE Gold Circle awards. He is an active member of ASAE and PCMA and has served on advisory boards for Marriott International and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Moderator: Chelseah Mesa

Chelseah is a program manager with the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA), where she oversees their Diversity Pipeline Program. Chelseah recruits, trains and supports diverse, first-year law students from historically underrepresented and disadvantaged groups interested in pursuing legal careers in telecom, media and technology law and policy. Previously, Chelseah supported the member-leaders at NAFSA as a member of the volunteer leadership development and regional affairs team.
