Co-Founder Paul Weintraub is a visionary and growth-oriented executive association leader who addressed a need by establishing and incorporating The Fridays @ 4 Society. This society serves as a conduit for association and nonprofit professionals looking to enhance their career, find their next opportunity, and expand their network with like-minded individuals.
With accelerated growth, Weintraub took Fridays@4™ from concept to reality by partnering with association executives who shared his vision and became the founding board of the society. By the time of incorporation, the society was delivering weekly programing centered on career enhancement learning and search strategy to over 100 members.
Weintraub is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and has over 10-years of C-suite association leadership expertise in global business development, sales, and operations. He currently serves as the Fridays@4 volunteer President and CEO.
Shelly Trent, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CAE, JCTC, JCDC
As Co-founder and Program Director of the Fridays@4 Society, Shelly Trent brings a level of inspiration and ingenuity that few have witnessed. While attending the 2020 ASAE Conference, Shelly was drawn to “hang out” in the Career Center where she helped the attendees with their career aspirations. Several others were “hanging out”, and they agreed that the virtual career conversations needed to continue. Shelly and Paul answered the call and created Fridays@4!
Shelly has spent her life guiding others toward lifelong career growth and personal enrichment, and when you meet her, she will personally advise anyone seeking professional career guidance and fulfillment. Her favorite saying is “Find a job you love, and never work a day in your life.”
Shelly is certified as an SPHR, a SHRM-SCP, a JCTC, a JCDC, and as a CAE. She holds a master’s degree in public administration and is ABD in HR development and career counseling from the University of Louisville.
Shelly lives in Southern Indiana near Louisville, KY, with her husband, two cats, and a dog.
Heather Story is the architect and financial authority of the Fridays@4’s Society. As Treasurer, Heather diligently researches optimal technological tools while being astute and fiscally cognizant of cost-effective innovative solutions which significantly contributes to the society’s growth and sustainability. As we grow into a vibrant organization serving the career needs of association and nonprofit professionals, Heather brings years of experience supporting volunteers to ensure there is a solid operational structure underpinning the vision. Outside of her work with Fridays@4, Heather is a consultant with Volunteer Strategies, helping volunteer leaders and nonprofits succeed in their missions to serve.
Heather lives in Knoxville, TN and when she’s not cheering for the Vols, she can be found volunteering with middle schoolers or hiking and hanging out with family and friends.
As Secretary, Vita Washington serves as a conduit for communication between the board, management, and members. Additionally, she provides guidance regarding appropriate content strategy and editorial consultation. Her thought leadership and program management expertise ensure that governing documents, policies and procedures are properly developed, recorded and adhered to. Vita takes deep pride in being the anchor of Fridays@4’s infrastructure and governing bylaws. Prior to launching her Proactive Proofreading LLC medical writing business, Vita held leadership roles at Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American Medical Writers Association Mid-Atlantic Chapter.
Vita holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Norfolk State University and a master’s degree in Science Administration from Trinity Washington University. Outside of work, she can be found skydiving and spending time with close family and friends. She resides in Washington, D.C.
The innovator, the engineer, he who is one with association technology! Kenjie began his nonprofit career working in membership development and transcended into an Association Management System (AMS) guru. He is the founder of The AMS Guy, LLC where he helps organizations maximize the impact their AMS has on their mission. As Membership Director, Kenjie leads the integration of digital and product operations providing his technical engineering expertise and uncanny resourcefulness at developing creative solutions for our ever-evolving digital management system.
Kenjie holds dual degrees in Applied Physics and Mechanical Engineering from Morehouse College and Georgia Tech. He lives in Atlanta, GA where if you don’t find him at the skating rink or on the dance floor, then he’s somewhere in the city finding something new to get into.
