Leading with empathy is no easy feat. It is not something that happens automatically. It takes conscious effort by a leader. During this interactive workshop, attendees will
1. Learn about Empathetic Leadership
• What is it?
• Barriers – internal and external, that can negatively affect how one lead with empathy
2. Explore self-leadership and how it relates to being an empathetic leader
3. Observe how to use the Empathy Circle model approach to become more empathetic leaders
Speaker: Faith Saunders
Faith has been a trainer for over 20+ years. She began her career at Rutgers University, where she worked for more than 12 years supervising and developing various programs. She holds a master's degree in psychiatric rehabilitation from the same facility and was an assistant professor at the School of Health Professionals.
Faith later started a New Jersey State-funded Employment Institute - CCERI, that she directed for fourteen years. The institute delivered training and technical assistance to 10 counties across New Jersey on mental health and employment issues. She currently owns her own training and consulting business – Discover A New Future.
