Join us for a moderated panel discussion on empowering rising leaders. The panel features a professional coach, a member of ASAE's Young Professional Committee and a 2022 NextGen Scholar. The moderator will lead the conversation through themes on workplace culture, leadership, and global digitalization.

Panelists

Vik Kapoor, Esq., PCC

Vik is President of Extra-M Coaching and Consulting and the author of the Amazon #1 bestselling self-coaching book, First Serve Yourself, which won a Living Now Medal ("books for better living"). He built a peer coaching program for the United Nations in 40 countries and has extensive experience coaching rising stars in a range of industries. Vik was formerly a leader in the American Bar Association's Section of Dispute Resolution and has a law degree from Georgetown, in addition to advanced training in resilience from Harvard.  

Brooke Wilson, CMP

As a professional event planner, Brooke has planned small meetings to global affairs, coordinating with international partners across the globe and most its continents. She honed her experience design chops by assessing and planning B2B events—challenging herself to devise ways to transform the ordinary into something truly extraordinary—irrespective of sector or industry. Brooke is a Certified Meeting Professional since 2020, is a member of the PCMA 20 in their Twenties Class of 2022 and an ASAE 2022 NextGen Scholar. She’s passionate about the role of young professionals in the association industry and their involvement in shaping the future.

Sara El Saied

Sara El Saied is Associate Director of Business Development and Industry Partnerships at Association of Women’s Health and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). She has served associations for over 12 years with her expertise driving innovative business and strategic partnerships with variety of organizations by curating sponsored events, educational programs, and launching multimedia campaigns to attract large audiences.

Sara is passionate about volunteering and has worked  to amplify youth and millennial engagement in the DC metropolitan area for organizations such as American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Black Lives Matter, Democratic Party and United Nations Association. Additionally, she is trilingual and has served as certified translator and transcriber for government, non-government agencies and organizations. Sara currently serves on the Young Professional Committee for th American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

 

Moderator: Constance Samuels, MBA, CMP, DES

Connie is a dedicated hospitality industry professional with nearly 15 years of experience in sales, operations, and meeting planning. She is the Director of Events & Education at the National Association of Professional Employer Association (NAPEO); and actively involved in several industry associations. Connie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality management from Virginia State University, and her MBA from Virginia Tech University.
