Panelists
Maisha HoqueMaisha is a Membership Specialist for the National Quality Forum (NQF), a non-profit, non-partisan organization that works to catalyze improvements in healthcare. As a first-generation Immigrant, Maisha is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion. She serves on Sigma Delta Tau’s Alumnae Council where she addresses DEI efforts for collegiate sorority chapters across the nation. She also served on NQF’s DEI Staff Council to ensure that her organization creates and accomplishes actionable goals that focus on inclusion and accessibility.
Jen MehltretterJen is passionate about helping others, which includes working with non-profits on empowering them to strengthen their community outreach and management. She is currently the Education Program Manager at The Optical Society where she provides leadership development and diversity, inclusion and equity opportunities for scientists. Outside of her 9-5, Jen devotes her times to organizations like Asian Adult Adoptees of Washington (AAAW), IAmAdoptee.org, GeekGirlCon, and others.
Moderator
The discussion will be moderated by Asian inclusivity consultant Jolene Jang, who specializes in teaching organizations about Asian cultures, helping them create belonging and develop culturally competent environments.
