Speakers: 

Carol Martinez

Carol is the Manager of Community Impact at Project Management Institute (PMI). With over five years of tenure at PMI, she has been instrumental in fostering the power of volunteerism to drive organizational growth. Carol's primary focus lies in empowering PMI members, volunteers, and chapters worldwide to participate in social impact initiatives. Her efforts aim to elevate project management as a life skill within local communities and on a global scale. 

Diana L. Dabdub

Diana is the Director for Admissions and Recruitment Affairs at the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). She oversees strategic programs, including the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS) for 45 veterinary colleges, with over 10,000 applicants and 50,000+ applications annually. Diana holds a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. She earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in December 2022 and is actively involved in various leadership roles within associations. She is past chair of the ASAE Gold Circle Awards Committee, chair of the Association Latinos Awards and Recognition Committee, and chair of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions Advisory Council. Diana also received the Forty Under 40 Award from the Association Forum and was an ASAE Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) scholar.

Josie Hernandez, IOM

Josie is an Account Executive with Bostrom and serves as President of Association Latinos. She has worked in association management for over ten years with experience in executive leadership, leadership development, and education delivery. Josie is chair of the Latinx Advisory Board for Association Forum and an American Society of Association Executives Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) Scholar. 

Moderator: Ben Yzaguirre, M.Ed., CAE

Ben has led the development of eLearning programs for over 15 years and is currently the Senior Director of Faculty Development and e-Learning at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA). In this role he manages the strategic direction of ADEA eLearn to assist in the professional development of dental educators. Ben has also serves as the staff liaison to one of ADEA’s seven governing Councils. A frequent association volunteer, he currently serves as the Professional Development Committee Chair for Association Latinos as well as subcommittee chair for ASAE’s Professional Development Professionals Advisory Council.
