Tom Aley

Tom has been devoted to delivering technology solutions to non-profits across a wide variety of categories for over 20 years. The application of his analytical skills to help organizations identify, implement, and modernize has been an accelerator of his advancement. Now primarily focused on all things data, Tom continues to help organizations achieve their missions.





Jennifer Baker, MSW, CAE

Jennifer is a forward-thinking, business-minded program management expert who loves engaging with others to address needs, solve problems, and get good work done. Her multi-faceted association management experience includes workforce development. She is experienced in providing career management support for association professionals and is well versed in career and talent management trends, opportunities, and challenges in the association sector. 



Ted Miller

A seasoned nonprofit and social impact leader, Ted launched Ted Miller Strategies to help good causes, maximize milestone moments, and break down organizational silos to create new partnerships and revenue sources. A natural facilitator and strategist who draws energy from others’ ideas and experiences, Ted is at home in front of a whiteboard engaging groups in real-time problem-solving. 


Speaker: Shelly Trent, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CAE, JCTC, JCDC, CDF, CMCS

Shelly is an HR and career development professional who has spent her life guiding others toward lifelong learning, career growth, and personal enrichment. Shelly worked for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for over 16 years. Shelly’s background includes association management, human resources, college career services, corporate employee career development, and business and industry training. 

Shelly is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute, as a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional, and also obtained her master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in HR.  She completed her Ph.D. coursework at the University of Louisville in human resources development and career counseling. She also holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification. Through the Career Development Network, she earned two career coaching certifications, Job and Career Transition Coach and Job and Career Development Coach. She also earned the CDF (Career Development Facilitator) and CMCS (Certified Master of Career Servic
