Panelists

Shan Haugabrook

Shan has been a servant leader in the association management and non-profit industry for 12 years and is currently the Director of Membership for the third-largest local apartment association in the country, the Atlanta Apartment Association. Previously, she served as the Director of Membership, Education and Administrative Services for the Georgia Nurses Association. She is an ASAE Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) Scholar, GSAE’s Sharon Hunt Emerging Leader Award recipient, and Leadership Academy graduate. Shan also serves in several volunteer roles within her local community. 



Rob Henry

Rob has acquired extensive managerial and development experience during his 35+ year professional career. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of Development, Culture and Talent for the Council of Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). In this role he provides overall global strategy for achieving CASE’s vision related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, human resource and talent management. In 2022 he launched the Opportunity and Inclusion Center. He also served as the Vice President of Education and provided strategy for educational programs (Conferences, Research, CASE library, Diversity/Inclusion Student Advancement) and Executive Director of Emerging Constituencies at CASE.

Prior to joining CASE Rob served as the Director of individual giving at Yale University, Assistant Vice President, University of Connecticut Foundation, and multiple roles at Michigan State University. He has taught in global markets such as Africa, Europe, Australia, and South America.

Rob was awarded the CASE Crystal Apple for teaching excellence in 2006. He holds a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Murray State University and a master's degree in communication from Eastern Michigan University where in the fall he will become a member of the Eastern Michigan University Foundation Board of Trustees.

Donté P. Shannon, FASAE, CAE

Donté is an experienced association executive and Board strategy advisor with 18 years’ experience in association management, 7 of those years include experience as a 3-time CEO. Donte has worked with professional and trade associations, across many different industries, ranging from state associations to national associations with global impact. 






Moderator: Shanae McFadden, CMP, DES

Shanae is an award-winning dynamic force in the business events industry. Shanae McFadden is responsible for the logistical planning and execution of Consumer Healthcare Products Association's (CHPA) meetings, events, and conferences. She is also responsible for maintaining CHPA Academy, CHPA’s leading resource for consumer healthcare industry education. Prior to CHPA, she worked in the non-profit sector developing fundraiser events.
